Head of Finance

About the role

Flip is looking for its first internal finance leader to design and operate the financial engine that will scale the business from $10M ARR to $100M ARR over the next three years. Reporting directly to the CEO and founders, you will shape strategy, drive fundraising, and ensure rigorous accounting execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement financial systems, processes, and automation to support rapid growth.
• Lead strategy, fundraising, and due‑diligence activities while partnering closely with the CEO and board.
• Oversee accounting, tax, audit, and compliance using tools such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Brex.
• Implement scalable billing, collections, revenue recognition, and internal controls.
• Produce timely financial statements, consolidated reporting, and GAAP‑compliant policies.
• Manage multi‑jurisdiction tax strategy, planning, and reporting.
• Build forecasting, budgeting, and KPI frameworks to guide decision‑making.
• Collaborate with GTM and product teams to align resource allocation with priorities.
• Negotiate core technology vendor contracts and develop revenue dashboards.
• Own investor reporting and craft financial narratives for fundraising conversations.

Required profile

• 7‑12 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in high‑growth AI or SaaS startups.
• Background in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
• 5+ years in finance/accounting with at least 2 years in audit and a leadership role.
• Strong command of SaaS metrics and GAAP compliance.
