General Laborer – Production Shift

About the role

Packaging Corporation of America is looking for reliable General Laborers to join its Miami Gardens, FL facility. The role supports production on both the 1st (6 AM‑2 PM) and 2nd (2 PM‑10 PM) shifts, helping to keep the corrugated packaging line running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, operation, cleanup, and suggest process improvements.
• Visually inspect finished units and report any suspect product to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Place unit tags, cover sheets, and arrange proper stacking patterns.
• Build neat units with the correct number of bands.
• Operate Flexo Folder Gluer equipment and support the Flexo Folder Gluer Operator/Assistant.
• Work as part of a team to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
• Follow all safety rules, including lock‑out tag‑out procedures, and maintain good housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional stacking of parts up to 30 lb for extended periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in packaging, corrugated, or other manufacturing environments.
• Commitment to a safe work environment.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and both first and second shifts.
• Good attendance record and authorization to work in the U.S.
