General Laborer – Production (1st/2nd Shift)

About the role

Join the production team at Packaging Corporation of America’s Miami container facility. You will work on either the 1st (3 AM‑3 PM) or 2nd (3 PM‑3 AM) shift, supporting the operation of corrugated packaging equipment and ensuring product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, operation, cleanup, and suggest process improvements.
• Visually inspect finished units and report any suspect product to the supervisor.
• Place unit tags, cover sheets, and stack units according to specifications.
• Operate Flexo Folder Gluer equipment and support the operator/assistant as needed.
• Follow lock‑out/tag‑out safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform plant‑wide tasks, including stacking parts up to 30 lb for extended periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months experience in packaging, corrugated, or other manufacturing environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and both first and second shifts.
• Good attendance record and a strong commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Machine operation (including Flexo Folder Gluer).
• Visual inspection of finished products.
• Lock‑out/tag‑out safety procedures.
