About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Operator to work at its Sauget, IL service center. The position offers an hourly rate of $25.90, PTO after 90 days, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key responsibilities
- Move all types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
- Read and follow manifests and interact with computer displays to track shipments.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
- Some experience with LTL (less‑than‑truckload) operations is preferred.
