Fuel Purchasing Buyer

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Fuel Purchasing Buyer to manage daily fuel inventory, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost‑effective procurement across its logistics network. Key responsibilities

• Monitor fuel inventory levels daily and in real‑time.
• Solicit bids, review requisitions, and prepare purchase orders for bulk fuel, spot buying, and wet hosing.
• Coordinate delivery volumes with suppliers and locations.
• Adjust load shifts based on market conditions to maximize cost efficiency.
• Negotiate and renegotiate contracts with major suppliers.
• Prepare reports on RFQ pricing, actual costs, and market trends.

Required profile

• Expertise in purchasing and contract negotiations within the fuel industry.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in fuel procurement, preferably in logistics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle procurement.
• Familiarity with Oracle RFQ.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
