Freelance CG Artist – New York

About the role

Framestore Integrated Advertising is looking for talented freelance CG artists to join its New York roster. You will be added to the talent pool and contacted when advertising projects arise, giving you the chance to work on high‑profile, award‑winning campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Submit your portfolio and details to be kept on the freelance roster.
• Collaborate with the advertising team to produce photorealistic or stylised CG imagery.
• Deliver high‑quality assets on tight deadlines while adapting to creative changes.
• Work closely with supervisors, taking direction and providing feedback.
• Maintain clear communication and documentation throughout each project.

Required profile

• Strong CG background with a portfolio that demonstrates a range of styles.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to follow direction.
• Valid US work authorization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Maya, Houdini, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Mari, Photoshop
• Arnold rendering (knowledge of Mantra or V-Ray is a plus)
• Basic scripting in C++, Python, hscript or MEL
• Linux/Unix operating systems
• Nuke compositing (experience with PfTrack or 3DEqualizer is a plus)
