Founding Designer

About the role

codes-health is building the next generation of medical‑record retrieval for plaintiff litigation and broader healthcare markets. As the first designer, you will shape the product experience from day one, working directly with the founders to turn complex, data‑heavy workflows into simple, reliable interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end design process for internal tools and customer‑facing products.
• Translate massive, messy medical‑record data into clear, actionable UI components.
• Design systems that scale across thousands of simultaneous cases.
• Integrate AI‑driven assistance subtly into workflows, keeping the user experience seamless.
• Establish and evolve a cohesive design language and component library.

Required profile

• Early‑stage or founding design experience, comfortable running design solo.
• Senior‑level mindset with the ability to set direction and standards.
• Passion for simplifying complex, high‑stakes legal and medical processes.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers, product, and legal stakeholders.

Required skills

• UX/UI design for complex data‑intensive applications.
• Design system creation and maintenance.
• Prototyping and user‑testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with AI‑enhanced product features.
