Forklift Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic for its Elgin, IL Service Center. The role involves rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts in a fast‑paced environment. Candidates must be able to lift up to 125 lb and work independently while following safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, rebuild, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts.
• Create and manage repair work orders using computer systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Clean driving record for the past five years.
• Minimum three years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial fork trucks.
• Experience with electric and manual pallet jack repair and maintenance.
• Ability to lift at least 100 lb and work in a fast‑paced environment.

• Industrial forklift repair and maintenance.
