About the role
The Fire Alarm System Technician will join the Campus Operations team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock. The position supports the safety and reliability of fire alarm infrastructure across the medical campus, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm devices and control panels.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot system faults, respond to service calls, and document all work performed.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure systems meet NFPA and local code requirements.
- Coordinate with facilities staff and external contractors for large‑scale projects.
Required profile
- Authorized to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Experience with fire alarm system installation, testing, or maintenance.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
