Field Service Technician – Electrical Systems

About the role

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to provide on‑site support for our custom electrical, instrument, and pneumatic control panels. You will work directly with customers, ensuring reliable installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical panels and equipment following company procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control panels.
• Provide direction to on‑site contractors when required.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, making cost‑effective decisions.
• Arrange travel for field service trips and perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as needed.
• Document service activities, maintenance reports, and service records.
• Train customers on basic equipment operation and maintenance.
• Assist the service team to ensure timely project completion.
• Perform electrical and mechanical manufacturing tasks, in‑process inspections, and quality control checks when not assigned to a field project.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of experience in manufacturing or field service, preferably with electrical equipment.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble and install fabricated equipment.
• Ability to use a multimeter, hand tools, and power tools.
• Experience running conduit and pulling wires.
• Willingness to learn under senior technicians and work independently or in a team.
