Field Engineer / Geologist – Site Investigation

About the role

The Field Engineer/Geologist will support ConeTec’s geotechnical and geophysical site‑investigation projects across Houston and surrounding regions. Working directly in the field, you will operate specialised equipment, collect high‑quality data and ensure seamless project execution from mobilisation to reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CPTu, VST, sampling systems and a range of geophysical instruments safely and efficiently.
• Assist operators and engineers during field campaigns, including equipment mobilisation and demobilisation in challenging locations.
• Perform routine maintenance on all field equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Collect, log and transmit test data, field notes and photographs daily to the supervising engineer or client.
• Prepare accurate field reports and support data processing activities.
• Adhere to ConeTec’s health, safety and environmental standards at all times.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of solving problems on site.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied environments.
