Federal Water Project Manager / Sr PM

About the role

HDR is seeking an experienced Federal Water Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead complex water infrastructure projects for federal agencies across the United States. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, construction support, and close‑out, ensuring projects meet client expectations and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of water resources, treatment, and distribution projects from inception to completion.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development and practice growth.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, providing technical direction and construction support.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale water infrastructure projects for federal clients.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
