Family Medicine Attending

About the role

The Family Medicine Attending will join the Delmar Family Medicine team at Albany Med Health System, working day shifts in the United States. This position involves direct responsibility for handling patient health information in compliance with federal and New York State regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Access and manage sensitive health data, including HIPAA‑protected information.
• Apply the “minimum necessary” principle to ensure information is used only for its intended purpose.
• Implement reasonable efforts to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure, following Albany Med Health System policies.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes governing protected health information.

• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and related New York State privacy statutes.
• Commitment to uphold confidentiality and data security standards.
