About the role
Alcon is seeking a Fall 2026 co‑op to join its Injection Molding Engineering team at the Johns Creek, GA facility. The student will work on real‑world projects that improve process efficiency, safety and product quality on the DSMFLEX platform, gaining hands‑on experience in a high‑speed manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support injection molding optimization and OEE improvement initiatives.
- Assist with installation, qualification and retro‑fit of DSMFLEX equipment.
- Learn and apply injection molding operations and change‑control procedures.
- Prepare program updates for senior‑level stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement activities and track results through feedback channels.
Required profile
- Enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a B.S. in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0.
- Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities or projects.
- Authorized to work permanently in the United States (F‑1 CPT may be accommodated).
- Available for a full‑time, semester‑long fall co‑op (40 hours/week).
