Faculty Nocturnist – Internal Medicine (BC/BE)

About the role

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is hiring a board‑certified/eligible Internal Medicine Nocturnist to join its faculty and provide inpatient care at UT Health East Texas, a Level I facility in Tyler.

Key responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on prevention and treatment options.
• Provide inpatient nocturnal care on a 7 pm – 7 am schedule.
• Work a 7‑on/7‑off rotation with no on‑call duties.
• Document care using the Epic electronic medical record system.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Full‑time, inpatient‑only position.
• Willingness to work night shifts (7 pm – 7 am) on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule.
• Family‑medicine trained physicians will not be considered.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Epic EMR platform.
