Facility Maintenance Technician – Full‑Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is looking for a dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to keep its Pembroke Pines service center safe, functional, and presentable. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, and includes a comprehensive benefits package and vacation time after 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in offices, dock/warehouse, and yard areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems such as lighting, circuits, and outlets.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water lines, fixtures, and drains.
• Weld and fabricate steel components using MIG and Stick welding techniques.
• Carry out general carpentry work – framing, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry repairs.
• Inspect equipment regularly, respond to maintenance requests, and assist with emergency repairs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in electrical, plumbing, steel welding, and carpentry.
• Strong MIG/Stick welding skills for fabrication and repair of steel structures.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics and use hand and power tools safely.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and ability to work in varied weather conditions.
