Exploration Drill Assistant – Surface (Diamond Core)

About the role

Geotech Drilling Services, a member of the ConeTec Group, is seeking an experienced Exploration Drill Assistant to support surface mineral exploration projects in Council, Idaho. The role involves working on diamond core drilling rigs in remote, rugged environments, following a 20‑day on / 10‑day off rotation with 12‑hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and supply the driller with tooling, drill rods, casing, core tubes, and core samples.
• Maintain inventory levels of materials, supplies, and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
• Assist the driller, client, and team members with routine tasks and safety procedures.
• Perform regular lifts of 50‑90 lb and handle equipment safely.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the drilling industry.
• Experience with helicopter‑supported operations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing small equipment.
