About the role

The Executive Director / CEO leads the Children’s Advocacy Center, driving its mission to prevent and heal the impacts of child abuse, neglect, and family trauma. This senior executive position combines compassionate leadership with disciplined execution to ensure long‑term sustainability and high‑quality services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement organizational strategy, financial plans, and operational performance metrics.
• Oversee program quality, fund development, community partnerships, and government relations.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements, reporting standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead, mentor, and hold staff accountable while managing organizational change.
• Drive fundraising, donor cultivation, and revenue diversification initiatives.
• Represent the organization publicly, delivering speeches, board reports, and stakeholder communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, social work, human services, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Preferred master’s degree in business, public administration, nonprofit leadership, social work, or related field.
• 7‑10 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, human services, healthcare, child welfare, or related sectors.
• Deep expertise in child advocacy, trauma‑informed care, and victim services.
• Proven track record managing budgets, financial reporting, grants, and compliance.
• Strong fundraising, donor engagement, and partnership development experience.
• High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, professional maturity, and personal integrity.
