Equipment Operator

About the role

The Equipment Operator ensures safe and efficient operation of material‑handling equipment to keep the distribution center running smoothly. This role supports inbound and outbound shipments, maintains inventory organization, and contributes to a hazard‑free warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate sit‑down forklifts, pallet jacks and other material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move, stack and organize goods to maintain warehouse flow and stability.
• Support inbound and outbound operations, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
• Rotate stock and perform basic quality checks to ensure product accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain clean, organized and hazard‑free work areas.
• Assist team members with other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Follow all company safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks or similar equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to learn new systems.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lb regularly and operating machinery for heavier loads.
