Entry-Level Designer – Community Environments

About the role

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking an entry‑level Designer to join its Community Environments market team in New York. You will help create healthy, thriving mixed‑use communities by supporting all phases of the design process.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in producing design deliverables such as field surveys, concept renderings, exhibits, preliminary plans, construction documents, and project specifications.
• Develop knowledge of concept design, design development, and construction documentation, including code studies, floor plans, elevations, sections, interior design details, schedules, and detailing.
• Provide administrative support for project teams, including preparing meeting agendas and minutes, updating project trackers, and generating design logs.
• Deliver accurate and timely work in line with weekly work plans and supervisory direction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field.
• 0‑3 years of experience in a professional architecture or interior design firm.
• General understanding of the operations of a design practice.
• Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit, Sketch‑Up, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, V‑Ray, and Enscape.
