District Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

Based in San Diego, CA, the District Manager will lead the development and execution of Vuori’s fast‑growing retail experience across multiple stores. As the brand’s ambassador, you will create a fun, memorable environment for customers while driving team performance and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Vuori stores through regular touch‑bases, in‑person visits, and development conversations.
• Audit and continuously improve operational processes across the district.
• Oversee hiring for all store roles, supporting Store Managers to build diverse, customer‑focused teams.
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, training, and recognition aligned with Vuori’s core values.
• Ensure compliance with HR and labor laws; partner with HR to resolve employee issues.
• Act as liaison between HQ and stores, facilitating two‑way communication and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with Marketing and New Store Opening teams to plan local events, activations, and new store launches.

Required profile

• Proven multi‑unit retail leadership experience in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong ability to motivate and develop store teams.
• Excellent understanding of HR compliance and labor regulations.
• Effective communicator who can partner with cross‑functional teams.
