Director, Single Family Office – Austin, TX (Relocation)

About the role

The family enterprise in Austin is creating a senior leadership position to serve as a trusted advisor to the family principal. The Director will coordinate governance, financial, legal, and operational matters across a sophisticated private portfolio while ensuring discretion and strategic alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead governance coordination for trusts, entities, philanthropic initiatives, and related structures.
• Advise the Principal on wealth structuring, fiduciary matters, real estate transactions, and family governance.
• Partner with the Head of Family Office to maintain enterprise‑wide governance, compliance, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate execution of contracts, trust documentation, entity formation, and complex transactions with legal, tax, and accounting advisors.
• Support budgeting, liquidity planning, cash‑flow forecasting, and consolidated reporting.
• Manage transactional and operational coordination for a diverse real estate portfolio, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and capital projects.
• Serve as the central liaison between the Principal and internal corporate functions and external advisors.
• Uphold the family’s values of stewardship, privacy, continuity, and long‑term planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience advising high‑net‑worth families or principals on wealth, governance, and operational matters.
• Strong judgment, exceptional discretion, and ability to manage complex details with precision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Austin, TX.
