Director of Government Solutions, Space Force

About the role

Picogrid is seeking a Director of Government Solutions to lead its engagement with the U.S. Space Force and related defense entities. The role sits on the leadership team and shapes strategy, business development, and deployment of cutting‑edge technology for space and multi‑domain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pursuit and capture of contracts, cooperative agreements, and funding opportunities with the U.S. Space Force, Space Operations Command, Space Systems Command and allied agencies.
• Develop and execute a government‑solutions strategy aligned with Picogrid’s mission, focusing on the space domain and joint operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across the Space Force, DoD, and federal contractors in the aerospace sector.
• Collaborate with Capture Managers and Deployment Strategists to identify, qualify, and win high‑value opportunities in the space and multi‑domain C2 ecosystem.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a growing government‑business‑development team.
• Monitor policy, acquisition, and technology trends affecting national‑security space to inform business strategy.
• Represent Picogrid at industry conferences, defense forums, and government‑industry partnership events.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in military service, government solutions, or related roles with significant exposure to space or aerospace.
• Proven track record of securing and managing complex government contracts, especially for emerging technologies and national‑security missions.
• Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast‑paced startup environment.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
