Director of Finance

About the role

Barti, a venture‑backed AI‑powered eye‑care startup, is seeking its first finance hire to lead the finance function as the company scales. Reporting to the COO, the Director of Finance will partner with leadership to build financial infrastructure, drive planning processes, and provide operational rigor for a fast‑growing SaaS business.

Key responsibilities

• Own company‑wide financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, including annual headcount and revenue modeling.
• Develop and maintain financial models that support hiring, growth, and operational decisions.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Operations to evaluate investment trade‑offs.
• Improve visibility into business performance through reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Establish monthly business reviews and strengthen oversight of payroll, AP, AR, collections, and expense management.
• Collaborate with external accounting and finance vendors to ensure reliable operations.
• Build scalable processes, controls, and systems for future growth, including equity grant modeling and compensation planning.
• Act as finance partner to go‑to‑market leadership on pricing, forecasting, and growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Strategic and hands‑on finance leader comfortable operating in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Highly analytical, resourceful, and collaborative with the ability to work in ambiguity.
• Experience building finance functions for SaaS or high‑growth technology companies.
• Strong business partnership skills across multiple functional areas.
