Director of Finance and Accounting

About the role

WIPWip™ is seeking a hands‑on, high‑ownership Director of Finance and Accounting to build the company’s accounting foundation and support financial planning and business performance. This senior role will lead accounting, reporting, and internal controls while partnering closely with the SVP, Finance & Operations on forecasting and strategic finance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function end‑to‑end, including monthly close, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes: invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure audit readiness.
• Maintain cash visibility and support near‑term liquidity management.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costing in a CPG environment.
• Lead the transition of accounting work from outsourced partners to an in‑house team.
• Partner with senior leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial analysis.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, high‑ownership mindset with a track record of building accounting foundations in fast‑moving startups.
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle, including AR, AP, close, and reconciliations.
• Background in cost, inventory, and standard costing within a consumer‑packaged‑goods (CPG) context.
• Proven ability to establish internal controls, ensure audit readiness, and manage cash liquidity.
• Demonstrated success transitioning finance functions from outsourced to in‑house teams.
• Ability to partner closely with senior leadership on forecasting, planning, and strategic finance initiatives.
