Director, Finance Business Partner, Digital Payments

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Finance Business Partner for its Digital Payments division. The role will serve as the lead finance advisor to the Digital Assets & Blockchain product and engineering teams, shaping strategy and ensuring disciplined financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning for Blockchain & Digital Currencies, aligning plans with business drivers and strategic priorities.
• Oversee month‑end close, analyze results versus forecasts, and communicate variances, risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
• Proactively manage financial risks and opportunities across revenue, expense, investment and macro‑economic factors, providing actionable recommendations.
• Act as trusted advisor to business partners and senior management, influencing decisions and managing financial performance of the business unit.
• Coordinate quarterly forecasts, divisional budgets and long‑term planning, partnering with stakeholders to align resources and meet financial commitments.
• Lead detailed personnel, vendor and investment forecasting, including run‑rate trends, hiring plans and productivity analyses.
• Partner with sourcing, product, engineering and business owners to evaluate vendor negotiations, business cases and investment proposals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in strategic finance leadership, preferably within digital payments, fintech or related technology sectors.
• Strong business judgment, executive presence and ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations.
• Proven track record of influencing senior leaders and managing cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
