DevOps Engineer

About the role

Mach Industries, a fast‑growing defense technology company, is seeking its first DevOps Engineer to design, build and own the infrastructure that powers both software and hardware development. You will be responsible for creating reliable, secure and scalable platforms that enable rapid delivery of autonomous defense solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines to accelerate developer velocity and reduce deployment risk.
• Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Implement and improve system observability, including logging, metrics, alerting, and on‑call response.
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to support test infrastructure, simulation environments, and production deployments.
• Lead infrastructure security best practices and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Establish incident response protocols and support root‑cause analysis.
• Shape DevOps processes, tools, and team culture as the organization scales.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Excellent debugging and incident management abilities.
• Ability to own large initiatives end‑to‑end with minimal oversight.
