Desktop Support Specialist – Bay Area

About the role

We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide high‑touch, executive‑level IT support for a boutique financial services firm’s two Bay Area offices. You will ensure technology runs seamlessly for roughly 100 professionals, including C‑suite executives, so they can focus on their work without disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on desktop support across both office locations, installing and configuring desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software.
• Support video‑conferencing and AV equipment for executive meetings (Teams, Zoom, WebEx, Citrix).
• Troubleshoot network issues such as DHCP, DNS, and connectivity, and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
• Manage Active Directory tasks including drive mapping, account unlocks, printer administration, and security groups.
• Ensure reliable connectivity to file, email, and application servers.
• Configure and troubleshoot iOS and macOS mobile devices.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and work additional hours when required.
• Lift, move, and install equipment as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing white‑glove IT support to senior executives.
• Self‑directed and able to anticipate needs before they become requests.
• Calm under pressure with strong communication skills.
• BS/BA/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
