Designer - Fashion Accessories & Belts

About the role

The Designer for Fashion Accessories & Belts will create trend‑forward accessories for the Betsey Johnson line, supporting the Wholesale Accessories business from concept to production. Based in our New York office, you will work closely with product development, overseas partners, and the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mood boards that capture seasonal inspiration.
• Sketch and illustrate design concepts.
• Create detailed tech packs for production.
• Communicate design specifications to overseas manufacturers.
• Present new products to the sales team.
• Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Support special projects and ad‑hoc tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience designing belts or fashion accessories.
• Strong understanding of contemporary fashion trends, materials, and construction.
• Excellent communication, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
