About the role
Southeastern Louisiana University invites applications for the Dean of the College of Nursing. The university seeks an innovative, collaborative, student‑centered leader to advance nursing education excellence, expand the state’s healthcare workforce, and shape the college’s future.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for academic programs, faculty, staff, enrollment, and student success.
- Oversee accreditation, regulatory compliance, and program assessment.
- Manage resource stewardship, budgeting, and external partnerships.
- Drive advancement, innovation, and community engagement initiatives.
Required profile
- Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
- Current, unencumbered RN license with eligibility for Louisiana licensure.
- Record of teaching, scholarship, and service appropriate for associate professor or professor rank.
- Significant progressive academic administrative or leadership experience, including knowledge of accreditation and budgeting.
