Data Engineer

About the role

Campfire is building AI agents to automate ERP implementations, cutting the time from months to weeks. As a Data Engineer you will architect the platform that moves customers onto Campfire and keeps their financial data live and in sync.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build pipelines that move customer financial data reliably from source systems (ERPs, data warehouses, payment systems, etc.) into Campfire and keep it flowing once customers are live.
• Ship major features on the AI agent that drives customer implementations, expanding what it can handle autonomously.
• Partner with the implementation team to understand real customer data, its meaning, and required transformations, turning those insights into platform capabilities.
• Contribute to Ember, the shared agent stack powering Campfire's AI products beyond data integration.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack engineering fundamentals; our stack is Python, NextJS/React, and you are comfortable building frameworks and tooling.
• Experience building and operating data pipelines; Snowflake experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience building AI agents or LLM‑powered systems is a strong plus.
• Self‑driven and autonomous, able to manage your own work and lead projects to completion.
• Comfortable with agility and ambiguity; you will help write playbooks for live data integration challenges.
