Controller – Manufacturing Finance Leader

About the role

The Controller will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance and internal controls for both Canadian and U.S. entities of a fast‑growing manufacturing organization. Working closely with senior leadership, the role supports business performance, ensures financial accuracy and drives continuous improvement across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, inventory accounting, fixed assets, cash management and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements for Canadian and U.S. entities.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations and clearing account management.
• Support foreign currency conversion, financial statement consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting.
• Manage inventory valuation, manufacturing variance analysis, pricing adjustments, landed cost calculations and rebate tracking.
• Collaborate with plant operations and leadership on cost optimization and operational performance analysis.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, SOPs and ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. GAAP, tax and regulatory requirements.

• Ability to work closely with operations and executive leadership in a fast‑paced environment.
