Controller – Head of Accounting

About the role

Boulder Care is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting function and serve as a key financial partner for a fast‑growing digital addiction‑medicine clinic. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with audit and tax requirements while supporting capital‑raising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and produce GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger, develop accounting policies and partner with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting.
• Design, implement and continuously improve internal controls across all financial processes.
• Lead audit readiness, act as primary liaison with external auditors, and oversee tax compliance.
• Manage revenue recognition for complex healthcare billing and telemedicine revenue streams.
• Support debt and equity financing activities and build scalable financial systems for rapid growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting leadership within a high‑growth, preferably healthcare, environment.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, audit processes, and tax compliance.
• Track record of building accounting infrastructure to support scaling organizations.
