Controller / Comptroller – Onsite, Hauppauge, NY

About the role

Naot USA is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Controller / Comptroller to join its finance team in Hauppauge, NY. This role works closely with senior leadership and supports a collaborative, friendly environment while overseeing all core accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑cycle accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and month‑end close.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and internal management reports.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Lead a small accounting and administrative team, including payroll and HR‑related tasks.
• Partner cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and global teams.
• Monitor inventory, cost of goods, and margin performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience in wholesale, retail, or inventory‑driven businesses is preferred.

Required skills

• ERP systems (Priority ERP preferred).
• Avalara or similar sales‑tax automation platforms.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
