Construction Superintendent – Stafford, VA

About the role

Bilfinger is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead site operations in Stafford, VA. You will oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning through completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to review scope and develop execution plans.
• Direct daily site activities, manage subcontractors, vendors, and resources.
• Enforce safety programs, conduct daily inspections, and ensure compliance with contract, regulatory, and company standards.
• Monitor progress, prepare daily reports, and update the project intranet.
• Control noise, dust, utility shutdowns, and minimize disruption to the owner’s operations.
• Lead punch‑list completion and oversee project close‑out procedures.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction with a general contractor.
• Proven ability to manage multiple resources, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high‑quality projects.
• Adaptable to fast‑paced changes and demonstrates integrity aligned with company values.
• Effective collaborator with diverse teams and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to adopt evolving technologies and methods.
