About the role
The Construction Superintendent acts as the company's on‑site representative, overseeing all field operations and coordinating subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Read drawings, specifications, and subcontract documents to plan and schedule construction activities.
- Schedule and manage subcontractors in the correct sequence for timely completion.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, document topics, and enforce OSHA compliance.
- Maintain job‑site records, take photos, and produce daily reports.
- Coordinate with inspectors, obtain permits, and resolve issues with the Project Manager.
- Communicate effectively with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Review and complete final punch lists.
Required profile
- 5+ years of field experience in construction; a B.S. in Construction Management or related field is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to quality, strong analytical abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and mentor assistant superintendents.
Required skills
- OSHA training (30 hours every four years).
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency with a personal computer and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
