Construction Quality Control Manager

About the role

The Construction Quality Control Manager will travel to VSC Fire & Security job sites across the Southeast to ensure fire protection and security installations meet company, industry, and code standards. This role combines on‑site inspections, compliance evaluation, and collaboration with project teams to drive continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of fire protection and security systems at various job sites.
• Evaluate workmanship, materials, and processes for compliance with NFPA standards, local, state, and national codes.
• Document findings, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with project managers and field teams to develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Identify trends in job‑site losses and propose quality improvement initiatives.
• Create and deliver on‑site training to address workmanship issues.
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding quality concerns.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality control, fire‑life‑safety systems, construction, or a closely related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong understanding of fire protection systems, security installations, and relevant codes and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and travel regularly.
• OSHA 30 certification desirable.
• NICET certification desirable.
