Construction Manager

About the role

SpaceX is seeking a Construction Manager to lead a high‑performing team that designs and builds office spaces worldwide. This role will work closely with senior leadership to ensure construction projects align with the company’s mission of enabling life on multiple planets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage direct and indirect reports, including project engineers, MEP engineers, designers, architects, and support staff.
• Coordinate workloads, prioritize tasks, and forecast project issues and escalations.
• Interface with senior leaders (VP/executive) to provide construction updates.
• Improve end‑to‑end construction processes to achieve on‑time, under‑budget delivery.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and control mechanisms.
• Gather proposals, negotiate contracts, and oversee contractor payments and lien releases.
• Facilitate city, county, governmental, and landlord approvals.
• Inspect work quality, maintain as‑built records, and hand over close‑out packages.
• Collaborate with facilities teams to operationalize post‑construction building operations and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary construction teams.
