Construction Laborer – Entry Level

About the role

Louisiana Bridge Builders is seeking an entry‑level Construction Laborer to support the I‑10 Calcasieu River Bridge project in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The role involves performing general physical labour on‑site, ensuring the work area is safe and ready for skilled trades.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare the construction site by removing debris and hazards.
• Load and unload materials, equipment and tools.
• Erect and dismantle temporary structures.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes and compact earth as required.
• Lubricate, clean and maintain machinery, equipment and tools.
• Assist electricians, carpenters and other skilled trades with their tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
• Team‑oriented with the initiative to work independently.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends or holidays.
• Physical capability to perform demanding manual labour.
