Key responsibilities

• Oversee major infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to VDOT standards and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and agency personnel.
• Adapt to changing field conditions and devise innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Proven VDOT inspection experience, including roadway, structure, and bridge construction.
• Relevant VDOT certifications covering soil, aggregate, asphalt, concrete, pavement marking, and related areas.
• Strong work ethic with dedication to quality, safety, and timely project completion.

• VDOT Soil and Aggregate Field Compaction
• VDOT Asphalt Field Level I & II
• VDOT Hydraulic Cement Concrete Field (ACI Concrete Field Tech Grade I)
• VDOT Pavement Marking
• VDOT ESCCC or DEQ Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector
• VDOT Nuclear Gauge Safety Training
• VDOT Guardrail, Surface Treatment
• VDOT Intermediate Work Zone Safety Training
• OSHA 10‑Hour Construction
