Communications Intern – Videography & Digital Media

About the role

The Communications Intern will support the United Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies (UNODET) in raising the visibility of its work through multimedia storytelling. The focus is on creating short‑form video content that captures events, initiatives and high‑level UN engagements related to digital cooperation and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Capture compelling video footage at global conferences, UN meetings and related events.
• Film behind‑the‑scenes moments to enrich storytelling around UNODET initiatives.
• Edit short‑form, social‑first videos for platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky and X.
• Assist the communications team in producing multimedia assets that highlight digital cooperation efforts.
• Operate professional cameras and mobile production equipment for video and audio recording.

Required profile

• Must provide a portfolio or examples of previous video work.
• Ability to work in dynamic, high‑pressure environments.
• Interest in digital cooperation, emerging technologies and UN initiatives.
• Strong visual storytelling sensibility.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro (or comparable video‑editing software).
• Videography and video editing techniques.
• Familiarity with social‑media video formats for LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky and X.
