Clerk III Receptionist – Radiology Front Desk

About the role

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Radiology is seeking a Clerk III Receptionist to staff the General Radiology Reception Desk. You will be the first point of contact for patients and will help ensure smooth patient flow through the imaging center.

Key responsibilities

• Perform radiology reception duties and complete the EPIC Radiant check‑in process.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and clinic staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, technologists, and other departments.
• Facilitate patient flow and direct patients to complete health forms.
• Perform general clerical tasks and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a busy ambulatory setting.

Required profile

• Combination of clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, or post‑high‑school clerical training equivalent to two years full‑time work.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and strong public contact/customer service skills.
• Six months of clinical administrative experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, good communication, and basic computer proficiency.

Required skills

• Experience with EPIC Radiant (or similar electronic health record systems).
