Civil CAD Designer/Drafter – Transportation (Road & Highway)

About the role

Civil CAD Designer – Road & Highway – based in Sandy Springs, Georgia, joining Parsons’ rapidly expanding transportation portfolio. The role involves creating and drafting road and highway engineering drawings using industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize MicroStation to produce engineering drawings, including layouts, cut sheets, and details.
• Ensure drawings comply with GDOT EDG, PPG, and other drafting standards.
• Compile data and perform dimensional calculations for drawing preparation.
• Develop roadway and highway design plans covering alignments, drainage, and pavement marking.
• Assist in preparing design submittals for clients such as GDOT.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (or equivalent); 2‑year technical degree or certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with civil and road/highway design projects.
• Proficiency with PC applications and knowledge of Georgia DOT plan and electronic data guidelines preferred.
