About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a highly organized City Dispatcher to join its Sauget, IL Service Center. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am‑7:00 pm, with a yearly salary range of $75,000‑$80,000 and one week of vacation after 90 days.
Key responsibilities
- Manage drivers and freight handlers, coordinating dock operations and scheduling.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to quality freight‑handling procedures.
- Dispatch LTL loads promptly and perform other duties assigned by the Service Center Manager.
Required profile
- Proven basic leadership experience and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, logistical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality freight handling and familiarity with the city and surrounding areas.
- Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
