Chief of Staff

About the role

Sapien is building AI‑driven agents that understand businesses from data. As Chief of Staff, you will work directly with the founders to ensure the company moves with intention, not just speed, overseeing operational layers and cross‑functional initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Extend the capacity of the CEO and leadership team by managing priorities and facilitating decision‑making.
• Lead preparation for board meetings, investor updates, and internal reviews.
• Manage high‑priority cross‑functional projects from framing to execution.
• Own the operational layer behind sales and customer success, including pipeline hygiene, CRM discipline, outbound coordination, and performance reporting.
• Build and maintain dashboards that give leadership real‑time visibility into revenue, deployment health, and operational KPIs.
• Turn ambiguous priorities into structured plans with clear owners and timelines.
• Identify operational gaps, design fixes, and implement repeatable processes.
• Support recruiting and team scaling as headcount grows.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a senior operator role at a high‑growth startup.
• Strong finance fluency, comfortable with P&Ls, operating metrics, and corporate finance concepts.
• Proven ability to build systems and processes, not just deliverables.
• Excellent written communication, able to craft crisp executive briefs, investor updates, and internal memos.
• AI‑native mindset: daily use of AI tools, quick adoption of new systems, and focus on leveraging AI for impact.
• High agency and low ego, taking initiative to get things done.
