About the role

The University of Miami UHealth at SoLé Mia is launching a new academic medicine hub in North Miami and Aventura. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant 1 to join our multidisciplinary team and support high‑quality patient care across a range of specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with clinical procedures and patient management in a culturally competent manner.
• Perform multi‑skilled tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and documenting patient information.
• Adhere to evidence‑based standards of quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, following institutional policies.
• Collaborate closely with the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or designated unit supervisor to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Maintain accurate records and support the workflow of the medical team under direct physician supervision.

Required profile

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
• Strong commitment to ethical and legal standards of professional practice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to create a compassionate, healing environment for patients and families.
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast‑paced clinical setting.
