CDL Class A Driver – Local Position in Greensboro, NC

About the role

We are seeking experienced CDL Class A drivers for a local, weekly‑paid position serving the Greensboro, NC area. As an independent contractor, you will transport freight on behalf of Empire National Inc., following dispatch instructions and maintaining safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform local freight deliveries within North Carolina.
• Follow dispatch directions and complete required paperwork.
• Use GPS, ELD, and tablet devices to track routes and log hours.
• Maintain vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate with 24/7 dispatch and safety support as needed.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license and current medical card.
• Minimum age of 23 years.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience.
• Reliable personal transportation and a smartphone with data service.
• Availability to work five days a week or more, based on hours of service.
• Clear record in the DOT Clearinghouse.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GPS navigation systems.
• Experience operating Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
• Comfort using tablet computers for dispatch communication.
