About the role
Altarum is seeking a highly organized and analytical Capture Analyst to strengthen the identification, preparation, and pursuit of strategic business development opportunities. This position focuses on the pre‑RFP stage, helping cross‑functional teams bring structure to complex opportunities before proposal writing begins.
Key responsibilities
- Support active capture efforts through coordination, tracking, documentation, and follow‑through across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Conduct market, agency, and competitive intelligence research to aid opportunity identification, qualification, and strategic positioning.
- Partner with Proposal and Opportunity Management teams to review and pre‑qualify future or forecasted opportunities.
- Maintain pipeline and capture documentation, workflows, and opportunity data within CRM platforms (Zoho CRM experience is a plus).
- Facilitate capture review meetings, gate reviews, action tracking, and opportunity prioritization discussions.
- Build and maintain capture tools, templates, job aids, and process documentation to improve consistency and adoption.
- Support growth reporting and pipeline health tracking, including KPIs, forecasts, and visibility tools.
- Leverage AI‑enabled tools and research platforms for market analysis, agency research, and capture preparation.
- Collaborate with division leaders, capture teams, and proposal colleagues to enhance operational discipline and execution.

- Comfortable supporting teams to move complex opportunities forward.
- Experience supporting capture, business development, proposal, or pursuit activities.
Required skills
- Zoho CRM (experience is a plus)
