Business Relationship Manager – Information Services

About the role

The Information Services (IS) Business Relationship Manager acts as the primary strategic liaison between IS and Driscoll’s Global Research & Development organization. Partnering closely with R&D leaders and scientists, the BRM translates scientific objectives into technology roadmaps, investment portfolios, and actionable initiatives. The role is based onsite in Watsonville, CA, with a minimum of four days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the principal IS partner to Global R&D and other business units, understanding strategy, capabilities, and processes.
• Capture and shape technology requirements, building a prioritized pipeline of projects that drive competitive advantage.
• Document true business requirements and oversee Business Systems Analyst efforts during discovery and execution phases.
• Communicate decisions, priorities, and project information to both business and IS stakeholders.
• Work with IS project teams to ensure technology solutions deliver intended business outcomes.
• Maintain and improve department standards, processes, and templates.
• Stay current on industry technology trends and propose new solutions.
• Proactively manage stakeholder expectations regarding opportunities, risks, and project status.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in IT or digital roles, preferably within a research or agricultural environment.
• Strong facilitation, storytelling, and consultative skills to align diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with PhD‑level scientific leaders.
• Experience translating business strategy into technology roadmaps and investment plans.
• Regular employee status, full‑time availability, and willingness to work onsite at least four days per week.
