About the role
This position is a high‑impact, hunter‑focused Business Development Manager role within a growing, privately held food and beverage company. The role is remote‑based on the West Coast with extensive travel to meet prospects and manage accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across food and beverage markets.
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies to exceed revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to generate leads.
- Present solutions to cross‑functional and executive‑level decision‑makers.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
- Collaborate internally to support customer projects and long‑term partnerships.
- Maintain consistent communication with accounts to drive ongoing growth.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 + years of outside sales experience, preferably in food & beverage or related CPG industries.
- Proven track record of prospecting and closing new business.
- Experience presenting to senior‑level stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities while traveling extensively.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related business software.
